40 years of expertise
From the first power plants to reprocessing facilities, we have helped shape the history of civil nuclear power in France and other countries.

Experience of EPRs
From Flamanville to Hinkley Point C, our expertise is contributing to the development of new-generation nuclear reactors, symbols of carbon-free energy.

Customised engineering and preparation
Every nuclear project demands rigorous and meticulous planning. The infrastructure we design is capable of meeting extreme safety, sustainability and logistical constraints. Our expertise encompasses all aspects of civil engineering for the nuclear island, from technical studies to the choice of materials and processes.

High-tech civil engineering
We construct reactor buildings, containment structures and conventional facilities. An example of our unique expertise is the confinement structure at Flamanville in France, which is 54 metres in diameter and 60 metres high and lined with an inner metal liner. Such structures are designed to withstand extreme scenarios.

Industrialised methods and tools
We use the most advanced technical resources, including large-scale prefabrication, colossal lifting cranes and digital modelling. These approaches keep costs and schedules under control while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

From operation to decommissioning
Our expertise covers the entire life cycle of facilities. Beyond construction, we work on maintenance, dismantling and the management of radioactive waste. At La Hague, France’s nuclear fuel reprocessing plant, our structures support all the stages of spent fuel reprocessing in a strictly controlled environment.
Do you have a project?
Let's discuss it.
We have been contributing to the development of nuclear power, a low-carbon energy source essential to the environmental transition, for more than 40 years. Our role ranges from the construction of France’s historic nuclear power plants to next-generation EPR reactors and future small modular reactors (SMRs).
Each project demands a unique combination of technical skill, safety and innovation. We deliver solutions tailored to local constraints and the strictest standards. These projects require constant vigilance, meticulous planning and unwavering rigour.

Our teams work across every stage of a project, from studies and civil engineering to specialised equipment, maintenance and dismantling. This end-to-end expertise allows us to support our clients reliably over the long term.

In the Manche department, Bouygues Travaux Publics carried out the earthworks and civil engineering for EDF on the first EPR reactor built in France.

Construction of two EPR reactors in the UK, supplying 7% of national electricity. A project of exceptional scale.

VSL carried out maintenance works on the containment building, which is the outer shield of the nuclear reactor.

On the shores of the Baltic Sea in western Finland, our teams have built the world's first EPR.
