Urban connectivity
As the backbone of transport networks, metros link neighbourhoods, relieve road congestion and support the transition to a low-carbon world.

Our expertise
We design and deliver high-performance, sustainable infrastructure that serves cities and their residents.

An integrated approach for optimum efficiency
Each metro project is based on tailored engineering designed for complex urban environments. Our design teams bring together multidisciplinary expertise to deliver structures fully aligned with geotechnical, structural and environmental requirements.
From 3D modelling and advanced structural analysis to the precise sequencing of tunnelling works and systems integration, we ensure full technical control and overall project coherence.

Multidisciplinary expertise for complex projects
Metro projects require a wide range of skills, from earthworks to the civil engineering of the most complex underground infrastructure.
Whether tunnelling or trenching, our teams adapt to every geological and environmental context, often in highly constrained urban environments. At Bouygues Construction, we have the expertise and know-how to take these challenges on.

Creating strong local roots
Bouygues Construction acts as a responsible regional partner. Our projects give local people access to jobs and training opportunities.
They are built on consultation processes and include concrete measures to manage the impact of construction sites, such as reducing noise pollution and dust emissions and coordinating site logistics and traffic.
Do you have a project?
Let's discuss it.
At the heart of major metropolitan areas, metro systems play a pivotal role in reshaping urban mobility. We design and deliver complex infrastructure that meets growing travel demand while integrating seamlessly into the urban fabric. Our flagship projects include:

Excavation of several tunnels beneath the Nile and construction of 15 new stations – including 8 underground, 5 elevated and 2 at ground level – along a 17.7-kilometre stretch.

Crows Nest Station is a state-of-the-art underground metro station which is part of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project.

Construction of a tunnel connecting Courbevoie to the Haussmann Saint-Lazare station and civil engineering work on the Porte Maillot station.

Development and equipping of the Villejuif - Gustave Roussy station of the Grand Paris Express, located more than 50 m underground.

With its 37 km route and 18 stations, the line was designed to carry more than 500,000 passengers per day, supporting the growth of Abidjan.

Construction of the southern line of the Grand Paris Express, Line 15 South, which links the Pont de Sèvres and Noisy-Champs stations across 22 municipalities.

The CYP consortium was selected to deliver Melbourne Metro: finance, design, build and operate a 9 km twin tunnel and 5 stations.

Extension of Sydney Metro to the west, with underground tunnels and stations supporting urban growth and decentralization.
