Building the low-carbon structures of tomorrow

From the design phase through to the operational phase, we set high standards for all our projects worldwide. Whether it's timber construction, design optimisation, geothermal energy, material selection or energy efficiency solutions, our expertise and innovative capabilities always lead us to the most environmentally friendly construction solutions.

Leading the way

in construction

Practical measures for reducing our carbon footprint

We are committed to limiting the carbon footprint of our activities by prioritising the use of low-carbon materials, prefabrication, the circular economy and reuse. We aim to sustainably reduce the environmental impact of construction and encourage the responsible use of natural resources

High-performance, energy-efficient buildings

Energy efficiency is factored in from the design phase of our buildings and structures. We implement technologies and devices that limit energy consumption, integrate renewable energies and also improve overall user comfort, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

A responsible collective approach

Our environmental policy is based on a collaborative approach that brings together our customers, partners, suppliers and local stakeholders. Together, we can develop sustainable solutions that are adapted to local issues and reflect the expectations of future generations.

Archisobre, a bold

concept building

The Archisobre concept building was presented at MIPIM 2023. It is the result of a unique initiative to encourage ultra-low-carbon construction, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of commercial buildings by two-thirds.

Over a period of several months, teams of experts from Bouygues Construction studied climate forecasts for 2040 and worked on this office concept, which strikes the perfect balance between simplicity, comfort, connectivity and scalability.

The project was carried out in association with Franck Boutté Consultants, an environmental design and engineering firm. Three renowned architecture firms – NeM/Niney et Marca Architectes, Coldefy and Martin Duplantier Architectes – then interpreted and enhanced the concept.

The result combines several features to combat global warming more effectively, reduces the average carbon footprint of newly built offices by a factor of three and achieves a level 40% below the RE2031 targets.
