Building with integrity

Clear, shared rules of conduct

We attach the greatest importance to ethics and compliance, and we are uncompromising when it comes to respecting rules of conduct, whether relating to managerial ethics or business ethics.

Our commitment to combatting fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest and all forms of harassment reflects our vision of a world that is fair, and is expressed in the following Codes:

  • A Code of Ethics: the foundation adopted by all our employees, managers and stakeholders,
  • An Anti-Corruption Code of Conduct: subject to special attention and zero tolerance,
  • An in-house practical guide specifies the practical application of these rules on a day-to-day basis.

The framework set out in these Codes helps us to act responsibly and transparently in all our activities.

We firmly believe that clearly stating our principles will enhance the credibility of our actions.

This principle guides our daily practices and strategic decisions, reflecting our desire to ensure that our projects are part of a sustainable and balanced relationship with our entire ecosystem.

Training and raising awareness

We invest in training to prevent any risk of non-compliance. This approach is essential to ensure that everyone has the knowledge and reflexes they need in order to adopt the appropriate behaviour in all professional situations.

  • ByCompliant training

The ByCompliant online module raises awareness among managers and employees exposed to risks (corruption, conflicts of interest).

This programme also highlights real-life cases encountered in the field in order to better prepare our teams to respond appropriately. It concludes with a quiz to validate what has been learned and can be updated regularly to maintain a high level of vigilance.

  • Ethics Day

Ethics Day is an annual event that brings our teams together to commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day.

It features conferences, interactive workshops and opportunities for different business lines and subsidiaries to share experiences, with the aim of strengthening our culture of ethics.

  • A personal commitment

All Bouygues Construction executives and managers are required to sign an annual letter of commitment.

This pledge demonstrates their support for the Group’s values and encourages exemplary behaviour and integrity in the workplace. Managers are encouraged to raise awareness among their teams of the importance of signing this commitment.

Speak Up, a whistleblowing system available to all

We want to put an end to the fear of speaking up that is often experienced by victims or witnesses of unethical behaviour. That is why we have set up a whistleblowing system accessible to all, both internally and externally, for reporting unethical behaviour, including moral or sexual harassment.

This mechanism forms part of a strategy to protect fundamental rights, enabling alerts to be processed quickly and efficiently. It guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower, the person targeted and all information provided. Each alert is investigated according to a rigorous, independent process, which ensures that the analysis will be objective and that the appropriate measures will be taken.

We regularly remind our employees and external stakeholders of the existence of this alert mechanism so that they feel empowered to use it with confidence, in the knowledge that their concerns will be listened to and followed up with appropriate action.
