A solar farm supporting Australia's energy transition

Located near Wellington, in New South Wales, the 450-hectare Suntop Solar Farm has 440,000 solar panels and has an installed capacity of 190 MWp (150 MWac). Single-axis tracking systems allow the photovoltaic panels to follow the sun from east to west throughout the day, optimising energy production. The project also generated significant economic benefits for the local community, creating employment opportunities with more than 400 workers on site at peak construction.

Innovation supporting high-performance solar infrastructure

Suntop Solar Farm showcases Bouygues Construction Australia's expertise in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The project was the company's first to incorporate Ingeteam inverters, Nextracker single-axis tracking systems and bifacial photovoltaic modules, helping maximise energy production and operational performance.

Building on the experience gained through the successful delivery of the Dubbo, Narromine and Parkes solar farms, the project demonstrates Bouygues Construction Australia's ability to deploy innovative technologies while delivering reliable, high-quality renewable energy infrastructure.
