Converting office buildings into a hub of urban activity
“Sky Center” involves a major conversion to meet functional requirements and industrial usage needs. Formerly occupied by a company, this former office building will be partially reconfigured into an innovative urban business park by the teams at Bouygues Bâtiment Industrie. The project provides for 33,000 m² of industrial and office space, spread over four floors, with a design that facilitates urban activities and access to the upper floors. The site will benefit from numerous facilities to provide an infrastructure that meets the challenges of decarbonisation and soft mobility: underground car parks equipped with electric charging points and bicycle parking spaces, for example.

A driver of economic, social and sustainable regeneration
Located 15 minutes from Paris, in the ZAC des Louvresses development zone on the banks of the Seine in Gennevilliers, the project benefits from a strategic location that supports the economic and social development of the local area.
Designed with a sustainable approach from the outset, the building aims to achieve ambitious environmental certifications and forms part of a comprehensive strategy to reduce its carbon footprint. This is based on a rigorous selection of materials and the optimisation of energy performance throughout the building’s entire life cycle.
The objective is to achieve BREEAM Excellent, Biodiversity and BBCA (Low Carbon Building) certifications.
The approach to reusing materials is integrated right from the design stage of this refurbishment project. For example, carpets, metalwork, sanitary fittings, as well as cables and plumbing and ventilation equipment will be reused, illustrating a concrete implementation of the circular economy.
Designed also to fit seamlessly into the local fabric, ‘Sky Center’ will contribute to job creation, the reindustrialisation of the region and the development of new sustainable activities.
