DTP has been present in Mali since 2000 and has been carrying out ore extraction operations at the Gounkoto mine since 2011. The single pit has reached a depth of 400 metres, which required specific drilling and blasting techniques in order to comply with the design of the mining plan.

A Pilot Project for Local Skills Development
A notable example of the company’s long-term commitment, Mali is one of our first African operations and serves as a pilot country for the training of skilled personnel who now support us across our various sites.
A 40-MW solar farm and battery storage system have been installed by the client to supply the mine with sustainable energy, enabling the future use of electric vehicles.
