Sustainable design meeting local community ambition
Four Seasons Resort and Residences at Tropicalia stands as a model for sustainable tourism in the Dominican Republic and the region.
Every aspect, from locally sourced materials and recycled Dominican tiles and stones to the reuse of topsoil and transplantation of trees, is guided by strict sustainability ambitions. More than 75% of construction waste is recycled, and a sustainable waste management plan is in place. We also limit beach access and minimize lighting to safeguard sea turtle nesting areas and preserve biodiversity during the construction phase.
The project’s outreach extends to local hiring, job training, and community education programs, ensuring the project delivers value far beyond its footprint—a vision for luxury built in harmony with nature.
