From Marcel Proust to Charlie Chaplin, Lady Diana, and Ernest Hemingway, an incredible gallery of celebrities have forged the legend of this exceptional hotel, located on Place Vendôme in Paris.

Surprisingly, however, in 2017, the establishment still did not have Palace status. It was therefore necessary to undertake the largest renovation project since its opening in 1898, with the aim of equipping it with the most advanced technologies without distorting its soul.

A 75-meter-long tunnel, specially dug between the hotel and the Place Vendôme parking lot, now guarantees VIPs maximum discretion in their comings and goings. The 1,600 m² of gardens have been enlarged and redesigned, lined with alcoves providing access to several large reception rooms. Two large greenhouses with sliding glass roofs allow guests to enjoy the garden all year round while doubling the capacity of the restaurants.

The large gallery connecting the Vendôme section to Rue Cambon is now bathed in light thanks to large bay windows opening onto the gardens and houses 95 luxury boutiques and shops, including a concept store. A 400-person ballroom has also been created in the basement, enhancing the establishment's event offerings.

In addition to the large, fully renovated 18-meter indoor pool, the Ritz now offers a splendid 1,400 m² spa created in homage to Coco Chanel, a frequent guest at the hotel. A sauna, steam room, and fitness areas complete this high-end wellness offering.

The number of rooms has been deliberately reduced to 142 in order to increase comfort and space. The 71 rooms all have a minimum surface area of 35 m², while the 71 suites, each entirely personalized, can reach up to 220 m² for the most prestigious ones.

This particularly successful large-scale renovation combines the hushed intimacy and grandiose decor for which the hotel is renowned. It ensures that the Ritz will remain, for a long time to come, one of the most beautiful jewels of the Place Vendôme and a global benchmark for luxury hotels.
