Pier Sixty-Six has been fully reimagined to redefine luxury hospitality and waterfront living in South Florida
Developed by Tavistock Development Company and delivered by Americaribe, the American subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment International, alongside John Moriarty & Associates, the project blends contemporary sophistication with Fort Lauderdale’s maritime identity.
The transformation includes:
- A renovated 17-story historic hotel
- A new 9-story boutique hotel with a world-class spa
- Two luxury residential towers featuring premium dining
- Three private waterfront villas
- Four resort-style pools and expansive landscaped areas
- A redesigned marina promenade celebrating the city’s yachting culture
Each component has been imagined to elevate the guest and resident experience. Interiors embrace natural light, coastal textures and refined materials, while outdoor areas connect seamlessly to the waterfront through shaded lounges, gardens and walkways.

Resilient design and contemporary coastal living
The redevelopment of Pier Sixty-Six places a strong emphasis on structural durability and environmental resilience. Every building was engineered in compliance with High Velocity Hurricane Zone standards. Materials, façades and glazing systems were selected for their ability to withstand intense winds and severe coastal conditions.
To enhance long-term safety, the entire development sits above centennial flood levels, ensuring continuous operation even in extreme weather scenarios. Digital coordination tools supported construction sequencing, façade integration and marina interfaces.
Key elements of the redevelopment include:
• HVHZ-compliant engineering for all buildings
• Elevated structures to mitigate flood risks
• Coordinated marina and landscape design for seamless guest experience
• Condominiums, villas and hotels integrated into one unified luxury destination
Pier Sixty-Six combines architecture, coastal resilience and high-end hospitality to create a landmark designed for modern waterfront living.
