Thermal renovation of the CPAM headquarters in the Somme department
The tertiary decree sets out targets for the gradual reduction of energy consumption in tertiary buildings, with the aim of achieving 60% energy savings by 2050. Improving their energy performance is a key challenge in achieving the objectives of the National Low Carbon Strategy.
The headquarters of the CPAM (French social security office) in the Somme, a building from the 1980s located on the banks of the Somme, consists of seven floors, on a two-story base and an X-shaped building with offices on five other floors. The work, delivered in October 2025, aimed to achieve a commitment to reduce energy consumption by more than 50%. This objective was reflected in an Energy Performance Contract.
Internal thermal insulation work was carried out on all floors, the exterior joinery was replaced, and interior and exterior sun protection was installed to ensure comfort in summer. The building was also connected to the Amiens Énergies heating network. A high level of performance in terms of lighting quality, indoor air quality, acoustics, and air permeability of the facades to prevent drafts was also targeted.
